This privacy statement discusses the information collection and use practices of Embotics as it relates to Embotics V-Scout.

This statement does not apply to Embotics' websites, each of which has a specific website privacy statement that is available via a link on the website.

Information collected

Embotics V-Scout contains a feature that automatically aggregates usage information for a particular Embotics V-Scout installation. The information that is collected includes the total number of successful logins, the number of user accounts, the number of custom attributes defined, the number of times a report is generated, uptime since last restart, and processing volume. Embotics V-Scout also collects information on the number of managed systems connected, various categories of the number of VMs being tracked, and the number of virtualization hosts under management. V-Scout does not collect information specific to individual users or details about specific VMs.

From time to time, V-Scout will log this information. Also, from time to time, V-Scout will send the information contained in the log, along with installation details, such as license key and registration email address, to Embotics over the internet.

V-Scout also uses cookies to enhance the user experience. The information in the cookies is not collected by V-Scout.

Information use

Embotics statistically analyses the information V-Scout sends for the purpose of generating benchmarks and identifying best practices and to improve the Embotics product. Embotics will share these benchmarks with registered V-Scout users.

Embotics will not disclose information identifying specific V-Scout installations or information about specific V-Scout users to any third party.

Information storage and security

Embotics takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information.

The information that is sent to Embotics may be stored or processed in Canada, the United States, or any other country/region in which Embotics, its affiliates, subsidiaries, or agents maintain facilities.

We may occasionally update this privacy statement. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of the privacy statement.
